The Park and the Vegetable Garden

Come and discover the park of the Château de Sully, with its wash house, its moats and its dovecote. Its vegetable garden changes throughout the year according to the seasons!

Madam the Duchess, passionate about her garden, is conducting small-scale trials to implement “a global approach to circular resource management, by promoting soil development”. The castles vegetable garden has thus become an experimental garden over the past four years, combining permaculture, living soil and circular cultivation. Nothing should come out, each waste is, in fact, a potential resource entering a virtuous cycle, thus enlarging the ecosystem sustainably. The ambition of Madam the Duchess would then be to transpose this philosophy to larger scales, on the grounds of the castle farm and in the vineyards.

A little extra for the children: take a walk in the park and discover our animals in the Lower Court.

Specialized visits to the Garden or the grounds of the Château can be organised, by reservation for groups, or during major events such as the Rendez-Vous aux Jardins in June or the Heritage Days in September. Contact us for more information.
